February's Empties & Reviews - Benton Aloe BHA Skin Toner

Benton Aloe BHA Skin Toner Review
Alright so I only had one empty in February but its one worth talking about. Benton's Aloe BHA Skin Toner has worked wonders on my skin and I made sure to have a second bottle ready for when this one eventually ran out!

Product Description: (found on Benton's Website)

Essentially, this product claims to help with acne, moisture, removing dead skin, improving skin texture and skin irritation.

Also, there has been a change to the 2015 product compared to the 2014 to readjust the texture of the toner. I also noticed that my new toner has more of a pump while this one has a spray dispenser.

You can find a very detailed description in English here

COSDNA Ingredient Analysis:

Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Water (58%), Glycerin, Sodium Hyaluronate, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Snail Secretion Filtrate, Salicylic Acid (0.5%), Beta-Glucan, Althaea Rosea Flower Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Polyglutamic Acid, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Psidium Guajava Fruit Extract, Aspalathus Linearis Extract, Zanthoxylum Piperitum Fruit Extract, Pulsatilla Koreana Extract, Usnea Barbata (Lichen) Extract, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Cross Polymer

As usual, Benton has amazing ingredients. There are no irritants or acne triggers in this product at all. Something I would like to point out is the fact that they don't have any water either. It is replaced by aloe water, which I think is a great way to make a "filler" ingredient more useful.

Overview:

  • Acne - I've found that this product, along with my other Benton products, helps to calm my active acne. This does have BHA in it but I don't recommend solely relying on it for your BHA routine. I viewed it as an extra benefit to the product, not the main point of using it.
  • Moisture -  I do find myself running to this product when I get out of the shower to make my skin less tight and itchy (I have hard water). It does help with an instant relief of dryness but I wouldn't say that it is amazingly moisturizing. Then again, I don't know too many toners that are.
  • Dead Skin - I don't have trouble with flakes or dead skin so I can't answer this one as well. I haven't noticed a difference.
  • Skin Texture & Irritation - As I said earlier, this toner really does help to make my skin less tight and itchy when I come out of the shower. I'll spray this on and it helps smooth out my skin tone and soothe any tightness and irritation. As for skin texture, I wouldn't say I've seen too much of a difference but I don't really struggle with rough skin.

Rating:

Benton Aloe BHA Skin Toner Review
5/5 pandas! Why? Benton's Aloe BHA Toner is cheap, has no ingredients that could irritate or cause acne, and is effective in what it claims to do. I could see any and all skin types using this product and benefiting from it.
